Not my point incidentally... :) If you have some spare time,
Technopoly is a pretty good book -- along with Amusing Ourselves to
Death, both from Niel Postman. I certainly don't agree with everything
the man says (pretty sure I'd be disgusted by his breed of religion
which he alludes to but doesn't disclose in his books), but he
presents some -- what are often pretty unpopular ideas with a good
amount of lucid information to back them up. Ever heard that we only
use 10% of our brain? Know how that got started? 'Cause the answer
might surprise you. The truth is the meme is less than meaningless.
