It's not just downstream speeds that determines a good gaming 
connection.  You need to have reasonably low latency and good upstream 
to see optimal performance.  To that degree, services like Direcway are 
useless for high-speed gaming (like Counterstrike or Xbox Live stuff) 
since the latency is atrocious.

I have a 1.5/768 DSL line, which is perfectly fine for online gaming.  
I'm moving to Kansas City in a few weeks though, at which point I'll 
probably end up with cable (Comcast) unless I can find a decent local 
provider in Olathe.
