No not the first. People go through these decisions every day. Periodlically there are issues like this that hit the news.
In our area (northern Virginia) in 1990's a TV weatherman was in an accident and diagnosed with PVS. After a year or so his wife wanted to stop the feeding tube. Parents and brother objected. Local politicians and the governor got involved... The family made some nasty accusations regarding the wife. Is this beginning to sound familiar? Only difference was that the Congress and Presidency did not get involved. The outcome was exactly the same though - the courts found for the spouce and allowed the feeding tube to be removed. The man died a short time later. larry On Thu, 31 Mar 2005 12:04:23 -0600, Gruss Gott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Brian wrote: > > Ugh, I've never liked these type of arguments. > > > > It is simply impossible to affectively inject yourself into every single > > situation that exists involving an issue in which you feel strongly about. > > As a person, you can only do what you can do. > > > > I'm with Brian on that for what he said and also because I think we're > just beginning to see where law, bio-ethics, and medicine collide.
