We are having the next NYCFUG meeting, on Java and ColdFusion MX, on Tuesday, 
April 12, 2005. Mark Murphy of ElectricLabs will be presenting on:

*** Extending CFMX Using J2EE and Eclipse ***

When? Tuesday, April 12, 2005, 6:30 PM
Where? NYU Medical Center, 550 1st Avenue (Corner of E. 31st Street),

The presentation will focus on how to integrate Java objects in your CFMX 
applications. It is aimed at all levels of ColdFusion developers with at least 
some understanding of basic Java concepts. 

Mark will show: 

  1.. How to use the Eclipse editor
  2.. Eclipse plugins such as CFEclipse, JUnit, Ant, and XDoclet
  3.. Using J2EE objects in CFMX pages, from simple objects up to EJB's
  4.. Creating session, entity, and message-driven EJB's
  5.. Running the open-source "JBOSS" application server
  6.. Useful frameworks, design patterns, and strategies
