My wife and I were just talking about Kiefer. Never really had that high
of an opinion of him until 24. Now, I think he is a great actor, at least
in this role.

Basically, he's an agent with "CTU" (Counter Terrorist Unit). You spend a
day with him, each episode is an hour in real time with the day, and there
are 24 episodes. There is some kind of attack on the US by terrorists, and
Kiefer saves the day. I think the best part of the show is how they leave
you hanging and the action is just intense, along with great plot twists.

*********Spoiler coming...if you haven't seen last night's episode, don't
read any further!*********

Last night's episode was just plain disturbing, the terrorists "stole" a
F117A (Stealth) fighter, and at the end, they shot down Air Force
One. This was after a nuclear plant was melted down, the Secretary of
State was taken hostage, etc. Pretty damn cool, if you ask me. Nobody has
ever had the balls to do that on TV, IIRC.

I dunno, I can't really do it any justice in an email. I encourage you to
rent the previous seasons on Netflix, you'll see what I am talking
about. My wife and I did this reluctantly after a couple friend of our
nagged us to death to do so. We ended up watching the first two seasons
(48 hours worth) in about 1 month. That show is like crack for us now....

Make sure to throw realism aside, and watch for the entertainment value,
though. I hate it when ppl say "that would never happen!". Of course not,
that is why they call it entertainment! :)
