First IANACPA.... I think this is fairly common practice. I don't think much is required to file an extension except a form and an estimated tax payment. As long as you don't owe taxes, there's really no penalty for extending. Since tax preparers have a finite amount of time in the first quarter to deal with taxes, sometimes they will file extensions for clients and deal with the filing after April 15th to help spread out their workload more evenly. If your CPA filed one without asking, it might be worthwhile to have a conversation with them about it, but I wouldn't be too concerned with it if you trust your CPA. -Cameron -- Cameron Childress Sumo Consulting Inc http://www.sumoc.com --- cell: 678.637.5072 aim: cameroncf email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:152845 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
