Yea, I hardly see how a generalization about a particular group of
people applies to laws which limit the freedom of an individual member
of that group. I personally have less than zero interest in marriage
-- I actively detest the institution and would rather see it abolished
(the legal institution -- the ceremonies are okay) -- but given that
abolishment isn't likely I will do everything in my power to protect
the right of others to participate in it.
