ok.. false morels are so easy to spot.
regular morels yellow/gray & black the patter goes in & the outside are the ridges. they are also hollow. http://www.morels.com/photos/ false morels do the oposite. the are bulbus, with the riges inset. and they are no hollow. there is also the half-free morel which is a sub-species, also called a peckerhead, since it well looks like a peker. they are also good to eat. false morels will only make you sick. not kill you. easy to spot the differnce On Apr 7, 2005 9:56 AM, S.
