I never said they were under any obligations or any agreements or anything.
Like I said, I was curious and I understand your points, I'm just not getting
mine across to you correctly which is my bad. And I took what you said wrong to
and for that I apologize, thought you were attacking me. And if you have
noticed I haven't been running off topic and such as much anymore because I
took a break and got rid of windows and now I'm not so grumpy.
Obviously this person has some knowledge of web dev and it would be good for
the community if he did step in an voice his thoughts and opinions on what we
are here for (cfm). Just seemed kinda odd to me that I had like 700 posts from
him on cf comm and none on cf talk, so i asked, no big deal. But according to
his responce he doesn't feel like he has anything to offer which is crap,
everyone here has something to offer.

Don't you think it's strange to see all those posts with the poster never
mentioning cfm in any of them on a cfm based list? I was just thinking that if
the poster just wanted to discuss politics a different list might be better.

.....but then we've come full circle, haven't we?

Nobody on cf-community is under any obligation to "help or [try to] help
out" and, in fact, may very well be just "some random person who happened to
find the list."

So, as I stated in my original response to your original post (which again,
yes I did actually read)...if deleting posts by somebody who you don't see
actively "helping" others gets your panties in a bunch...then, as I
originally suggested, maybe you're on the wrong list.

And yes, many people on cf-talk are hesitant to subscribe to cf-community
for that very reason. A huge number of off-topic posts, or specifically,
non-cf related posts. I haven't seen any 'membership requirements' that
suggest posting to cf-community is a privelege restricted to coldfusion
developers or members of cf-talk. A majority of cf-community members are
actually cf-talk (and/or other HoF lists). But I've seen a few names that
are unique to community (or that I just don't recall ever seeing on
cf-talk). So you may very well end up hitting 'delete' a number of
times...and you may end up doing so for messages posted by folk that have
never stepped foot onto cf-talk. If that's an issue for you...I say again
(and use your phrase from your original post), maybe you're on the wrong
list.

It seemed (and still does) that you were/are working under a misconception.
I tried to clear that up. Not quite sure how that made ma a "smart
ass"...but I think that I've now put forth enough effort and will bow out of
the thread and allow you and the gang to continue your political non-cf
related conversation.
