Hmmmm....... A game lasts for 4 periods of 15 minutes.
At the end of the first and third quarters team change ends but possession and field position stays the same. Because the clock stops between certain plays, even though a game only lasts for 60 minutes it normally takes around 3 hours to complete. Especially if there are many penalties. Then it can take forever. Each team also has 3 time-outs each half.
