I wouldn't use registered ram except for a server. It sacrifices a little bit of performance for bit checking. For a server, I would accept the slight performance hit for the security that the data wasn't corrupted.
It's been a while since I've used it since I don't build servers, but I didn't have a problem with it when I did use it. -Kevin On 4/13/05, Yves Arsenault <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Has anyone had "super" or "horrible" experiences with certain types of RAM? > > Mainly, would anyone like to share about Registered RAM? > > Thanks, > -- > Yves Arsenault > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Studio MX from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=50 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:153888 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
