I'll go for the chuckle. :) As for the question, we're considered both. I'm a Jew due to following the laws and traditions of the religion as well as being a blood descendent of Jews going back many generations. In addition, Jews remember out homeland in prayer many times a year. Homeland, tradition and blood all lead to cultural group in most peoples minds. For many non-religious Jews, that's all they have as a connection. No slight to any Jew here who is not religious but what connects a humanist Jew, a wiccan Jew and a reform Jew to me is that culture. Of course, I hold that you need more than the culture but that's just me (and religious Jews in general).
