Here's how to see it: 1.) Attend an ivy league or top 20 university and major in engineering or finance. 2.) While there intern at a private equity group, hedge fund, venture capital firm, investment bank, or top consulting firm. 3.) After graduation work a year or 2 at one the places above. 4.) Secure a due diligence position with a PEG, VCap, or IBank.
