One more reason to adopt internationally (although some countries
frown on gay couples as well). Add to this laws that let birth mothers
simply change their minds and take a baby back - it was no wonder my
wife and I only briefly consider adopting locally.

You know - if you go through the trouble of saying a gay person can't
foster/adopt, why bother stopping there. Put all gay people in jail. I
mean, obviously you (you being the Texas goverment) feels that they
are living a lifestyle so wrong as to not to be allowed around
children... and if you feel that way, why stop? How about not allowing
gay people within 100 yards of a school. Or not allowing gay people to
be teachers.
