The thing is that Lex has ben the most variable of all the characters in the 
book.

He's been big and strong, big and fat, bald and hairy, skinny and wasted, large 
and hairy and australian.  He's been old (same age as Perry White) and young 
(same age as Clark and Lois).  He's been a migrant black woman from Oklahoma.

Most people have a very specific idea of Luthor - personally I'll always see 
him has the older, heavy, sauve quintesential corporate "fat cat".  Somebody 
like Joss Ackland (with no accent) could pull it off I think.
