Does the amount of soot coming out of the vehicle differ on what
grade/quality diesel is ran? I know on what little I have read one reason
why we do not see diesel hybrids in the states is because the fuel is still
high in sulfur. But I believe some law goes into effect next year that
limits the amounts of sulfur allowed in the diesel. I know the smell of the
exhaust changes greatly between types of diesel used, for instance my
friends "plant" that runs on biodiesel smells like McDonalds french fries
and my truck does not at all :(
