I think my babel fish is broken. :) just back from a second viewing of Hitchiker's Guide (what's with abbreviating it HHGTTG anyway? The abbreviation is harder to deal with than the full title) ... We went with a friend the first time and Tiff wasn't having a good day, so she wanted to see it again when she was in a better mood. I have to say I think it merits a 2nd viewing... I don't understand the Ronald McDonald shoes they give the planet-builders at the end. I noticed the doors of the HoG sighing in just about every scene this time (which seems to me funnier if you notice it because it's happening during all these action scenes where everybody's tense), and the idea slappers were even funnier the 2nd time :) (since I was watching specifically for the relationship between what they're saying and the slap). I noticed in the credits that Adams wrote the screenplay, and I'm betting in retrospect that in spite of Jeff saying the mice weren't from Magrathea that this was Adams' original intent (just never spelled out in the book). I think there's also a cameo of the original model used for Marvin in the TV series during the scene where they're filling out forms to get Trillian released from Vogsphere.
