So, I recently ( sort of ) finished up a project for a client. The project kind of went on for too long ( for those of you who caught my other rant a few days ago ) and I had to put my foot down and say "No more free changes." The contract said client had 5 days to address items that did not meet spec and we were going into the 14th week (I.E. 70 days). I thought I was justified putting my foot down at that point.
I am still CCed on quite a few status emails that get sent off when certain things happen. Since I haven't heard from the client person, I tried to pop into the site to remove my email from those status emails. All the passwords have changed ( Development server, live server, and database server), so I can't get in. I dropped the client (probably now an ex-client) an email to ask him to remove my email address from the status emails. I don't know if I'll hear anything back. ( For all I know, I'm about to get sued : ha, ha: ) . The interesting thing is that none of the username / passwords were changed for access to the administrator. So, while I can't get to the database, I can get to all the data. Either the username / passwords were changed for an entirely different reason ( which is not far fetched ) or he just didn't think it through in an attempt to cut off my access. You can all smile and nod and say "gee, that sucks". :) -- Jeffry Houser | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] AIM: Reboog711 | ICQ: 5246969 | Fax / Phone: 860-223-7946 -- DotComIt: Database Driven Web Data My Book: Instant ColdFusion 5 | http://www.instantcoldfusion.com My New Book: ColdFusion: A Beginner's Guide due out next February -- Far Cry Fly, Alternative Folk Rock http://www.farcryfly.com | http://www.mp3.com/FarCryFly -- <CF_BABE name="Tammi" rating="10" status="mine"> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your ad could be here.
