Not a big Pit fan. Neighbor had one. It got a hold of another dog and just would not let go. I jumped over the fence with a square shovel, Swung that shovel with everything I had, hit the pit square on top of the head. His legs buckled, but his grip on the other dogs neck did not. The pit slowly got up, looked at me and shook his head with other dog still in his grip. If looks could kill I'd be history. I dropped the shovel and got my butt back on my side of the fence. The cops showed up a few minutes later and BANG it was over.
