We had a Thunderbird that was going to cost $1500-2000 to make it a) pass 
the emissions test and b) have working AC/heater. Ended up selling the thing 
off and constantly look back and think should have just fixed it and kept on 
chugging along because the extra money on car payments and full coverage 
insurance just does not justify it, well not after the fact at least.
