Which brings us back to the ACLU who I hope will fight this on the
very grounds you've written.

In many ways this reminds me of the Patriot Act debate in the Senate. 
There's a provision that prevents the accused from privately
discussing her case with her attorney.  When AG EagleSoars was asked
how this prevents terrorism his response was, "don't worry, we've
never used it."

I feel so much better!  I expect we'll hear a lot of the same
arguments: "Don't worry, even though we could track you we won't. 
Trust us.  We're from the federal governement and we're here to help
you."
