The door holding I am not so bothered by. But kind of the opposite and this
always gets me. I will be leaving a restaurant and first threw the door.
Being polite I ill stop and hold the door usually for my family. Then every
one behind my family (these are total strangers) hurries to get through the
door while I hold it. Mean time my family is out in the parking lot waiting
on me.

clear that hey are coming to that door. if you waiver, and maybe look
at the door next to the door we are going in... then sorry, its your
loss. you are pushing.

opening the door myself! Holding the door for an elderly person, a child,
someone with their hands full...makes perfect sense. The rest is PC BS run
amok.

Used to be they were a rare nuisance. Today they dominate people's lives.
The next time I have a conversation cut short by the first 4 bars of "Ode to
Joy", followed by the obligatory index finger "just a second" sign, I'm
strangling the bastard. Literally.
