I've been here since 2001. They just cut out any benefits for retirees. They used to be able to pay for post-retirement benefits, but no more.
Paying to park!!! Same here. $25/year to park on the same block as our campus. I could park across the street, but it's not a very nice place over there. I have a hard time locking my car with the alarm problems. It was said, a month or so back, that someone in accounting had an incorrect formula for calculating tuition and other budget information. Funny, because when using the incorrect formula, we all had better raises and budgets. Now, with the correct formula, we are all screwed. "Correct formula" must be relative to whoever is speaking those two words at the time. Oh, well. I still love what I do and will do the best I can, but I certainly won't bust my ass like I did last year.
