Just remember that "The Incredibles" is a Pixar movie, not a Disney movie -
and Pixar movies are just in a class by themselves. ;^)

For what it's worth I was actually pretty impressed for the most part with
"Brother Bear". I just think that's a tremendously rich but mostly ignored
culture and it was treated pretty well there.

Pretty much true. Of course it works. My son really wants to see
"Madagacar" and begged to see "Sharks Tale" and all the other movies that
come out. In some cases the "hipping" of a movie works - "Shrek" was still
great with it.

But movies like "The Emperor's New Groove", "Hercules" and others just use
it instead of a story. And that almost always sucks.

Like I said Pixar's in a class by itself.

Remember that Disney is purely a distribution partner: they have no input
into Pixar's culture, studio, storylines or anything else really -
essentially they just help shovel the money.

Disney has a similar deal with Studio Ghilbi that's working out for them as
well.
