You should scan them in at 300 DPI.  When you display them, you need to
resize them to the appropriate size.

I did this same thing when creating a cfdocument with an image in it.
It had to be scanned for print resolution rather than monitor
resolution.

We have a client who wants to pay us to scan in about 50 magazine
articles that his company has been mentioned in for output/printing off
his web site.  We've been scanning them in and saving them as pdfs, but
they either look terrible or they look good and are WAY too big.  Is
there a better way to do this?  Is there some other Adobe product we
should be using?
