Well, I'd been with the guy a while. I knew he was agitated. The apartment was tiny. I knew I couldn't "sneak away." And, I feared that attempting to leave would make him go over the edge. Besides, I was really afraid for my cat. I mean, it's not like I took my cat with me in the morning, either. But, since he'd been talking to my cat that night, and the cat was apparently talking back, "Yah, man you're right. I can't believe she just ripped out your balls like that. That really sucks." I just had this feeling that the cat would someone meet an untimely fate if I left that night.
I can tell you that I did not sleep that night. Nope, not at all. I was sending all sorts of "psychic messages" to my best friend/upstairs neighbor. I was just sure she needed to _talk_ about something, you know. ;) But, to no avail. She did not hear my silent pleas. (My mom chastised me for weeks for not running like hell immediately. She works in the mental health profession.) On 5/19/05, Dana <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > you waited till the next day?
