I am beginning to collect quite a few digital images from our Canon S50 camera. I was wondering how other people organize their images once they have been copied to a computer/server.
I want to manually add keywords or comments on the photos as they are downloaded from the camera. However, I'm trying to find a central location where to store comments for the pics. None of the three applications attempt to read the comments from the other. I want the keywords and comments to actually be *part* of the image so that it is portable and not require a specifif media library application. I thought most programs would read the EXIF data. I guess that is not true. I have the following software for my use: *Canon ZoomBrowser *Jasc Media Center (Older version) *Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady *Macromedia Studio MX 2004 *Windows File Properties (OK, I'm reaching a bit with this one.) Also, how do you organize images in a folder? I thought if I were detailed enough with the comments, I could put them all together in a single folder and then filter based on content, when I needed to get the images? Or, should I keep the pics in separate folders, related to subject, such as: House Kids Kids > SchoolEvents Naughty > Wife Vehicles > Corvette Vehicles > Durango Any suggestions?
