They don't need to do anything to defeat America militarily - 9/11 proved that. America is like a human fighting a wasp of equal intelligence: sure, we have exponentially more destructive power but we can't use it. In the mean time the wasp is fast enough to repeatedly sting us until we lose our will to fight. That being said, the better point is that Europe will have enough military strength to take on, say, an Iraq or an Iran without our help. So, in that sense, they're not dependent on us for security like they were during the Cold War. > Do you mean economically? They're on their way to beating us there, but part of that is our own financial stupidity. I'd compare us to Britain in 1800s - they had their 100 years and today, while they're still powerful, they're a far cry from their old strength. The USA took the next 100 years and now we're winding down so it'll be interesting to see who's next. It could be Europe or India but I doubt China - there's no growing strength there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:159397 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
