Is there a way to increase the Windows CD Read Buffer in Windows 2K? I'm listening to a CD and it'll play for a few seconds, stop.. I hear the CD Drive spin, and then it'll play for a few more seconds.. Is there a way to increase the RAM alloted to the buffer for the CD rom? I've tried changing Winamps(which I use to list to CDs) priority to High, but hasnt helped much. I'm thinking if I can allot another couple megs to the CD rom this wouldnt continue to happen. The CD plays fine elsewhere.. just not here while I'm working and have a few things up (DW, 3 sessions of Toad, FF, a few IE windows, etc) Any ideas? -- Auxilium meum a Domino
