i'd say that between all of the existing comics forums out there
(comicspriceguide.com, newsarama.com, and all of the others that i've
either forgotten or never even knew about), a mailing list might be
lost in an already saturated 'market'.

the blog might be a better idea as you can post your rants, and allow
for the 'discussion' to take place in the comments.

I think the blog could also get much higher visibility, what with you
being friendly with a certain 'writer of stuff' who could potentially
add your blog to his sidebar that already contains recent posts and
links to other comic-related blogs (Glenn's, Bob's, etc).

My $0.02 for what it's worth :)
