For many people it's an injury to have a person in office that pursues policies they disagree with - it's an insult to that injury to have him appear so dense. My wife, for example, won't even listen to him but has been a Republican her whole life. She's voted against him twice now yet was a huge Dole supporter. In the end, Mr. Bush will be judged on his effectiveness and if that's low he'll be remembered as an idiot.
