I fork this thread and raise you another fork. New topic: On the way in to work today, I was listening Van Halen's 1984 and jamming along thinking about what a pivotal album this was for Van Halen. Then an epiphany hit me. I work with a bunch of college interns that weren't even born when this album came out. To them, this album is "classic rock", or better known as "Something my parents listened to". Yikes, I'm feeling really really old now! (and I'm only 35)
