I'm assuming this is a desktop machine, not a server? I'd search high
and low for any scheduled events/updates that may happen in that
timeframe. Likely candidates include antivirus software and printer
utilities.

I had a very bad (seemingly random) crashing problem with my desktop
some time ago and finally tracked it down to an HP autoupdate utility
that sat in my taskbar. Every time that sucker fired off an automated
update my machine would restart in a sudden and unhealthy way. No
bluescreen, no shutdown - one minute I would be working in an
application and the next thing I knew I was staring at the machine's
boot sequence.
