I don't agree, although it seems to work for most.  What was seemingly
random or evil about the Moon Landing?

Perhaps.

I think most often conspiracy theories begin to emerge when the actual
explanation of an event seems to contradict common sense.  This is the one
aspect I see in common:

"The towers would never fail like that!  They'd topple over sideways!"

"The flag shouldn't move on the moon!  There's no wind!"

"Oswald couldn't have hit Kennedy that many times from that position!"

And then the general ones:

"It was too well planned only terrorists!"

"It was too obvious for them to miss; there must have been a cover up!"

"It was too well organized; the government must have been involved!"

"Too many people wanted this to happen; they must have been working
together!"
