It's not particularly kid friendly, but I guess it's not particularly
kid un-friendly either. It's dark and dirty. As any batman origin
story does, it deals with the death of his parents and his fear,
guilt, and anger about that. The Scarecrow character has the ability
to cause people to see him as very scary and they portray that from
the afflicted person's perspective. Batman obviously fights a lot but
he doesn't believe in killing people.

I really liked it. It didn't have the campy aspects like the previous
movies with a goofy Joker, Penguin, Riddler, etc. It was treated as
seriously as possible for a movie with a guy dressed like Batman.
