What are you smoking? Democracy in Iran is a total sham. The mullahs, through 
the Guardians Council, determine who can run. In the U.S. country everyone 
cries voter intimidation if people have to show ID at the polls. How about 
Iran, where you risk getting beat senseless if you vote for the "wrong" 
candidate? Is that democracy? 

Even with a reformist in the Presidency and a reform-minded Parliament, the 
mullahs still run the country. There is a small amount of freedom in Iran, more 
than twenty years ago, but ask any Iranian living in the U.S. and they will 
tell you that it is not a free country. I had Iranian neighboors in my last 
house and they wanted to go visit Iran but they couldn't because they were 
afraid if they went the govt. would sezie their passports and not let them 
leave. Yeah, that's freedom, alright.
