Ha ha! I did the elope thing in St. Lucia, and while it angered my mother (she didn't let on, but my sisters let the cat out of the bag), it was the BEST thing that I/we could have done. We got a professional video done, so everyone got to see the whole thing anyway. We saved so much money that we had a nice down payment for our first house. I recommend it highly.
