I only do this when I need to be able to prove the other party
recieved and opened the mail message. Don't particularly care if they
read it, but at least I have a receipt that says they opened it.

We've got a problem with "lost" messages in some departments.

<sarcasm>Fortunately</sarcasm> for me we use Blotus Notes, so it only
works when I send to internal users.
