Unfortunately its the special interest groups that are pouring money
into the parties. Eliminate the need to cater to the SIG's for
campaign funds and you go a long way in eliminating real and perceived
corruption in the political process.

I have no idea who the Democrats will be nominating for 2008, but a
Frist - McCain contest for the Republican nomination will be very
interesting, and dirty - given that Frist has already enlisted Ralph
Reid and friends to help with his campaign.
