Subject: IIS permissions - Access denied by ACL blah blah

OK, first off, i am not a network engineer, so go easy on me if this is
an
easy one.

i just installed IIS on my win2k pro machine, i also installed CF 4.5,
now i
can get to the CF Administrator just fine, but when i try to access any
site
i have i get that damn "HTTP 401.3 - Access denied by ACL on resource
Internet Information Services"
error...now the strange part is, if i create a virtual site to a dir
under
the site i am trying to access (a sub dir) then it works fine, the
permissions are the same for both directories, so it just doesn't make
sense
to me..
Can anyone give me a quick run down on what the dir needs so IIS can
access
it? This is just for local development only.
