Reluctantly, I agree. Assuming of course that the facts of the case are as reported here. I think French schoolgirls should be able to wear headscarves, and American teachers should be able to wear a cross. I used to wear a star of David. I should be able to do that too, even if in my case I did not intend it to be a religious symbol.
