Sony apparently knows the market is dumb enough not to be able to
distinguish between what is prerendered or doctored video and what is
real footage.

Something that Microsoft should have considered before running games
on actual dev kits. They should have put together some really
impressive pre rendered scenes and done exactly what Sony did and put
that out there for people to lap up.

Because let us face it, at the end of the day whether none of the
demos for the PS3 were running on anything close to actual hardware or
not, they did steal the show. And that's all Sony really cared about.
Explaining the rest in the media afterwards is not an issue, people
will remember the demos at the show itself, and the media frenzy right
at that point.

99% of the time it seems that fooling the people works perfectly for
the period it is supposed to :)
