Alright, now I've got to go find a Bowie cd. Maybe Ziggy Stardust.

I saw the Alanis Morissette concert last night, the "Acoustic" tour.
Acoustic is interpreted very loosely. The guitars were steel string
hollow bodies, but they had pickups that ran through a large number of
effects pedals. There was a piano, but it also had an organ and a
couple of moogs beside it. Okay, that aside, the concert was great.
The woman still has her pipes 10 years after the Jagged Little Pill
album came out. She opened with the hidden track off that album. It
was just her and a microphone and a spotlight.

She sang every song on that album and interspersed other songs from
her repertoire. She still looks a little spastic on the stage
especially for an "acoustic" show.

Jason Mraz opened for her. That was an incredible opening show. 1
guitar, 1 bongo drum, 1 cymbal, and more music than I thought 2 guys
could create.

What made this show even better was that I saw it at Bass Hall in Fort
Worth, TX. This place is usually used for plays and musicals. The
acoustics are freakin awesome. I saw Jethro Tull at this same venue,
and for both shows I understood every word uttered by the performers.
I've just about given up going to concerts in sports arenas.

Oh, and it was air conditioned :)
