The system worked exactly as programmed, but the flow is wrong. Basically, the 'return to previous' returns you to where you came to the signin page from. This was the 'you have to be signed in' page, not the subscribe page. I'll do something about the flow. And yes, the whole thing flows wrong. It all needs to be ripped out and redone and I'm very slow and careful about that.
