This has been a peeve of mine for a while.  There were several technologies
competing for online font delivery at one time (the one from BitStream
seemed to be most popular and I think is still supported in IE) but then the
whole thing just disappeared.

Stylesheets are great, but there's a gaping whole when it comes to managing
the resources they might need.  Why can't I specify a location for a font
file which will be used if the agent can use it and ignored if not?  Uh,
why?

I can point to graphics this way (which not all agents can use) so why not
fonts?
