A quibble point Gruss - Iraqi forces before the invasion attacked US and coalition forces on a regular basis. Remember since the first Gulf War Iraq had 2 very large no-fly zone patrolled by US and coalition aircraft. The Iraqi army regularly tried to shoot them down, usually resulting in an Iraqi anti-aircraft missle or battery, or an electric plant being bombed by US forces.
