Let's look at Britain's success with the
let's-invade-random-Middle-East-counties-and-call-that-fighting-terrorism
strategy.

If that doesn't convince you, try an analogy.  Alcoholics often
rationalize their drinking with "I'm stressed out".  The mistake is
they wake up with 2 problems, the one they drank over and the hangover
they now have.

This is the same as Iraq.  Your strategy seems to be that since
there's terrorists we should invade someone.  The mistake is that now
we have 2 problems: the original one, global terrorism, and now a
second one, Iraq.
