I'm looking for recommendations on portal software and felt that CF-Talk might
not be appropriate for asking :)

So far I've look at:

PHPNuke

$10 ($300 for branding removal). Open source. Works with Windows and seems to
have a lot of polish and plugins. Downside is that I'm not very familiar with
PHP.

CFNuke

Completely free but does not look as mature as PHPNuke. Works with Windows.

CFXtreme

Free. Based on CFNuke. Seems like a hack.

Scoop

Free. Works only on *nix. Written in (shudder) Perl.

I'd really like to stay with a CF-based application and don't feel confident
enough to run Linux in a production environment (based on my naivete with
Linux...not questioning the value of a Linux server).

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Howie
