You know, it's amazing that I so frequently have TV references, given how little I watch of it... but I coincidentally happened to actually sit down and watch some TV last night (intentionally, I wasn't just pacing in the living room like usual) and caught an episode of the Family Guy in which the father is made president of the company where he works and gets his own parking space which comes with his own corporate suck up. This thread just reminded me of this particular passage from the show, as he's walking from his parking space to the building, talking to the suck up: SU: Beautiful day isn't it? P: It's a bit cloudy. SU: Boy is it ever! I can't remember a day when we've had worse weather! How about those mets? P: I hate the mets. SU: And I don't blame you! Are they awful or what? Love your tie by the way. P: I hate my tie. SU: Can't stand it! It's awful! Gotta go! P: And I hate myself. SU: And you should! You're a fat sack of crap! P: But I'm the President. SU: The best ever! At which point he presses the issue of the contradiction and the suck-up's head explodes. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:164485 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
