I am arguing that Bin Laden is our enemy. The al Qaeda is our enemy. Bin Laden has enlisted others to help him and has lead the attacks against us. Attacking Iraq has done nothing to reduce terrorism it has helped in the recruitment of more terrorist.
Bin Laden is still a free man and is still leading not only the single most dangerous terrorist organization in the world but the terrorist organization that is directly responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center as well as many others. So why break off from the chase of Bin Laden to invade Iraq? We should have focused solely on Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and other such terrorist organizations. Diverting troops, supplies and other resources to Iraq only helped Bin Laden. Iraq and Iran fought throughout the 80's. We supported both sides at different times. We were happy to see them kill each other. Invading and occupying a Muslim country with questionable ties to terrorists is not going to help the situation. Capturing or killing Bin Laden and other terrorists will make the world a safer place. We have made a tactical mistake. More directly our cowboy vengeance President and his posse have made a terrible mistake and we are all worse of for it. >>>>> You are totally ignoring the underlying causes of Islamo-fascism. These lunatics hate us, hate our civilizations, and they wish to destroy everything we cherish and replace it with a 12th century-inspired Islamic state spanning the globe. Their aims have nothing to do with us and everything to do with the ongoing religious civil war inside the Muslim world. You seem to think that if we just left the Muslim world alone that none of these attacks would have happened. Is that really what you are arguing? That we should stay out of the fight and hope for the best? The Islamo-fascists long-ago identified the U.S. and Israel as their primary enemies in the world- long before Bush, long before Iraq. It just took us a couple of decades to figure it out.
